CLASSICAL GUITAR

In fewer than the usually required years, Luca graduates in guitar under the direction of Maestro Stefano Cardi at the Ferrara Conservatory (Italy), where he is awarded three internal scholarships-competitions; later completing a two-year Masters Degree specializing in composition and interpretation, with a thesis on J.S.Bach and graduating Summa Cum Laude with full marks.

After attaining his Master Degree, he wins two international scholarships: one to study at the University of Santiago de Compostela, to deepen his studies and interpretation of Spanish classical music with José Luis Rodrigo, the famous disciple of Andrés Segovia; the other, at the Birmingham Conservatoire, where the courses he follows with particular passion include: free improvisation, music with technologies, classical guitar, chamber music, history of Western music and guitar orchestra, where he is chosen as a soloist for concerts with the orchestra.

Constantly researching, he continues to study in Italy with some of the best teachers and performers, attending masterclasses and courses with such masters as Paolo Pegoraro, Walter Zanetti and Stefano Viola, and abroad with Paul Galbraith, Mark Ashford, Mark Eden, David Russell and Xuefei Yang. He also receives the basics of direction thanks to Maestro Marco Zuccarini.

In 2012 he is invited to the “Latin American Guitar Festival” of Chicago (USA) where he holds three recitals, one of which is held at the Auditorium of the Columbia College and a lecture-concert at the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico).

He continues his activity in concerts and teaching, which led him to be called by the National Conservatory of Jerusalem in 2014 to hold lectures, masterclasses, workshops and concerts.

In 2015 he records his first solo album “D’Improvviso” via Sheva Collection Records. This project was based on the real concept of “extemporaneous improvisation”. It was recorded keeping in mind a simple scheme of atmospheres combined with minimal ideas regarding themes in order to begin to play the pieces and to build structures.

In 2017 he is invited by some Universities (such as University of Kentucky) in USA where he holds 5 concerts, in solo and in duo with the American guitarist Andrew Serce, and masterclasses.

During these same years he is also a lecturer at the High School of Music of Ancona, Italy, at the Middle High School of Music “G. Leopardi ” (Ancona) and at the Musical Institute “F. Marini ” of Falconara M.ma (Ancona – Italy), where he is currently teaching.

Due to his increasing fondness for teaching and training issues, in 2015 he founds the C.A.M.P. (Musical Arts Professional Centre) with which he organized the Summer CAMP 2015 in Senigallia (AN).
Artistic director of music section of the International Contemporary Art Festival AR[t]CEVIA since 2014.
